Hi, my name is Amy Martinez. I have been an employee at Plam Motorsports since January 2006. I started out at Yamaha Sales then transferred to BMW Parts and now I am back in Yamaha Sales. I have decided that I want to stay in sales permanently and make it my career.

I first became fascinated with Motorcycles at the age six. It started when my father would take me on rides on his Harley. From there on I started toying with the idea of riding dirt bikes since I obviously wasn't near old enough to ride on the street. I rode a Yamaha TTR-90 for a few years until one day when my little brother thought it was funny and did not tell me the brakes were blown and I took a bad crash in the rain. It was very painful and scared me pretty badly.

As time went on I started attending A.F.M. races and fell in love with street bikes. Preferably super sport bikes. At the age of 18, I bought my first motorcycle. It was a 2005 Kawasaki Ninja 250. I rode that for about 500 miles doing some rides to Coalinga and back and then I decided I wanted more. I wanted more power, speed, and a better looking bike as well. After 5 months of riding my ninja I sold it to another beginner rider. I slowly started riding my friend Ben's CBR 929RR and a Super Hawk for a while. As time went by I purchased a few different sport bikes and a dirtbike as well. I really enjoy riding my TTR-125LE dirt bike at Hollister Hills for fun on my days off. I figure when the weather gets bad and I can't ride on the street I can go play in the dirt.
