BMW Motorcycles BMW of Santa Cruz County

Office Manager

Hi, my name is Honami and I am the Office Manager at BMW and Yamaha of Santa Cruz County. I've been a member of the staff since May of 1998. I've seen us grow from the small staff of 6 employees on the frontage road in Santa Cruz, to the entity you see today.

Through the years I have learned a great deal about the different bikes we carry, and have come to appreciate the different styles and attributes that each bike has to offer. I have also been fortunate enough to tag along as a passenger on many of the shop rides. So if you want a passenger's point of view of the bikes, please don't hesitate to ask!

Prior to working at the shop, I spent many years on the original "horse power" doing a crazy sport called vaulting (gymnastics on horseback). It combines the grace of dancing with the agility of gymnastics, all while balancing on a cantering horse. With this background, and a love of Germany that stemmed from my first trip there when I was 10, it seemed inevitable that I would one day purchase a BMW motorcycle. In 2000, I bought my first bike, a Suzuki Savage 650. Being vertically challenged (5’1”, almost,) it was a great starter bike for me. In November of 2002 I upgraded to the F650CS. It was a wonderful bike and the quality of the BMW machines gave me the courage to push the limits I never felt comfortable doing on my Savage.

Then parenthood came along... I traded in the F650CS and got a Yamaha TTR-125 dirt bike. The bike is unfortunately covered in more dust than dirt these days, but as the kids get older and more independent, I plan to change that.

I am happy to help out should you need it, so please don't hesitate to email me at Honami@bmwyamaha.com with questions, comments, etc. Thanks!
